About Us

Overview

Newhaven Archery Club is located in Sussex . It is based at it’s dedicated archery field which can be found near the village of Firle close to Lewes.

Many of our members take part in local and regional tournaments, but others prefer the more relaxed shooting of club target days. The club has the services of qualified coaches and leaders, who run beginners courses and supply advice to members who are having problems or just want to improve their shooting.

The club is affiliated to the Sussex County Archery Association, Southern Counties Archery Society and  Archery GB (previously known as The Grand National Archery Society or GNAS)

Club Activities

Newhaven Archery Club is an active club that holds a variety of events throughout the year.

Club Night

Club night is on Friday evening and this is when archers can practice and get together with like minded people.  In the summer the club night is held at our beautiful outdoor range nestling in the foot of the South Downs. In the winter we take shelter in the warmth of a school hall in Newhaven.

Special Events

Newhaven Archery club also hosts a number of other events such as an inter-club competition, an open day, an archery training course, and ‘have a go’ stalls at local events
